What can I expect on a Sunday morning?
Xtreme offers a weekly environment for grade 6 to 8 students that meets during our Sunday service at 10:00 AM. Each week students experience games, a challenging talk, and most importantly, interaction with a small group.
Each hour is broken down into four parts:
Hang Time
Before each hour begins, students and leaders come into the Xtreme theater, hang out and listen to music, play video games, or just grab a snack and catch up on what's been going on.
Connect Time
The first 15-20 minutes of Xtreme are a combination of activities, music or video that focuses students' attention on the main message for the morning.
Teaching Time
Teaching Time is not your typical session! During this time, a speaker will give an "intro" to what the students will be discussing in small groups.
Discussion Time
This is the heart of what we desire to accomplish with Xtreme. Students meet in small groups divided by grade and gender to discuss current issues or important topics in their lives. These discussions are led by adults who invest in the students' lives. So every student has a voice other than their parents speaking what matters into their lives, and a circle of friends who want to run in the right direction.
